About the authors: Sam Lantinga is the author of SDL and is handling the programming side of Pirates Ho!. When he's not doing that, he works as the lead programmer for Loki Entertainment Software, a company dedicated to porting bestselling commercial games to Linux. He also enjoys roleplaying games and hang gliding. Lauren MacDonell is a witer and artist and is overseeing the creative side of the development of Pirates Ho!.
